Future of Payments – Square

If you haven’t heard by now, there’s a new application being launched by Jack Dorsey, who originally founded Twitter, called Square. It’s an iPhone based payments app that allows credit card processing. Here’s a demo by Kevin Rose showing off the product. Enjoy.

    Is there plans for other versions for other smartphones, like Windows Mobile? or Blackberrry? or ??

    Yes. The audio jack is supposed to work with multiple cell phone hardware providers.

    “supposed to”? Has anyone tried it with a phone running Windows Mobile? The Utube note says it's an “IPhone App”.
